After over a quarter of a century of making magic, Dan Cockerell has departed the Walt Disney Company in pursuit of the next step in his life. We discuss his life before, with, and after Disney. We discuss Dan the VP, Dan the father, and Dan the husband. We discuss leadership, college majors, and careers. For this trip report, Danny calls in from Disneyland in Anaheim, California, USA where he and his family are vacationing in the place where it all started. Is Marvel better since Disney purchased them or were they better before the purchase? On August 31, 2009, The Walt Disney Company announced a deal to acquire Marvel Entertainment for $4.24 billion and we want to know if Marvel is better today for having agreed to this. To figure this out, we analyze Marvel Entertainment in three areas: the comics, the movies, and the theme parks and discuss the effect the Disney company has had on each category.
