For The Hub topic this week, we are talking about Hurricane Matthew and Walt Disney World. We have an exclusive interview with Dr. MoWHOcan (aka Leisa Mundy), a MOWican who is currently on vacation at Walt Disney World at the same time Hurricane Matthew is slated to come through the area.
At the time of this recording, Hurricane Matthew was a category 4 hurricane threatening the east coasts of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Walt Disney World was shown as being on the west side of Hurricane Matthew’s CONE OF PROBABILITY.
This is only the fourth time that Walt Disney World has closed its doors for a hurricane event since it opened in October 1, 1971. What we hope to learn from our discussion with Dr. MoWHOcan is how Walt Disney World cares for its guests during a time like this. Dr. MoWHOcan was staying at the Contemporary Resort at the time of this interview.

Welcome to the QUEUE and for this episode, the boys tackle the latest in Disney related news stories that we are interested in discussing. We discuss the following news stories on this episode.
Based on the last news topic, we decided to exercise our creative muscle and feature a Park It segment showing how we would put Guardians of the Galaxy into the parks. The only rules that we followed are 1) it had to be a practical and 2) each one of us was assigned an attraction type.
The project has to be practical. We make Guardians of the Galaxy work in such a way that it could be considered as an option by the Walt Disney Company. This means no building of new parks or tearing down massive amounts of infrastructure and buildings; that would be downright expensive.

Thirteen years ago on May 30, 2003, Pixar gave us a story about a father on a desperate search to find the last remaining member of his family. It took him from his home in a coral reef to the EAC (Eastern Australian Current) to a forest of jellyfish and more.
In 2016, the story is reversed. In Finding Nemo, the parent is looking for the child; in Finding Dory, the child is looking for the parent. And, as you can judge by the title, fun and adventure ensue because of the central character.

This is there first time dining at this restaurant. They scheduled a dining time around Wishes on their first night in Walt Disney World and got to experience that on the balcony.

Fellow MOWicans, ladies, and gentlemen. For the Hub, this week, we present to you former Disney Imagineer, Paul Torrigino: a man who owned his own online tiki bar sign business, Pariarts. If you were looking for that crowning touch to your tiki bar, this was the person to talk to. However, adding to the decor of your own tiki bar is not the reason why we have Paul Torrigino on our show today.
Twenty-one years is the time Paul Torrigino spent at Walt Disney Imagineering and over those 21 years, he worked as Production Artisan, Production Designer, Art Director, Concept Designer and Show Designer. He worked on most of the large Disney Imagineering projects, including one of Kevin’s personal favorites, Dinosaur in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
His versatility allowed him to stay with the company for all those years which, in turn, allowed him to work on a variety of projects in various capacities. Yes, he worked with animatronics, but in addition to all of this...well... allow me to throw out some familiar names:
just to name a few.
Before all of this, however, Paul Torrigino was a Disney fan through his high school and college years much like myself and my cohorts as well as many of you listening. Except his path gave him the opportunity to fulfill many a Disney fan’s dream which is to become a Disney Imagineer.

Jambeaux, everyone!!! We are continuing our series of podcasts on our same feed called the Magic Our Way Field Reports. To remind the listener, these shows will not be a regular segment due to the fact that these are podcasts we record straight on location at a Disney park or Disney event. You can call it our "on location" podcasts. We grab the portable studio and record anything from a mini trip report or attraction audio or interviews. On today's show, in honor of the start of football season, we have our second annual fantasy theme park draft in which the boys mix fantasy football and their Disney theme park love. The mission is to create a theme park using elements only found within the four gates of Disney World. The boys have only these slots to fill: 2 E-Ticket rides, 2 dark rides, 2 kiddie rides, 2 show-style attractions, 1 character, 1 restaurant in the parks, 1 restaurant out of the parks, 1 nighttime show, and 1 flex position, which could be anything from the above mentioned categories. The objective is to create your own fantasy theme park, complete with a theme. Please let us know who created the best park and share your comments at magicourway@gmail.com. It is GAMETIME in the hub! We play a couple of rounds of Mouse Against Morality, which is an unofficial Disney themed expansion pack for the game, Cards Against Humanity.
Danny and Eli have never played Cards Against Humanity which makes this a completely new experience for them. Kevin and Lee have played the original game, but have never tried this expansion pack.
We play until someone wins five of the question cards. This allows us to do two full rounds with this deck. At the end, we offer a little review of this expansion pack.

The first event refers to a situation which occurred on one of the Disney cruise ships. The Disney Cruise Line has allegedly removed a family with an infant off of the ship in Nassau in the middle of their cruise citing that the infant was underage. There is obviously more to this story. Secondly, Danny deals with Customers Service in regards to a toy that he bought his child..er…rather, Santa made for his child for Christmas. In honor of the 2014 fantasy football playoffs, the boys mix fantasy football and their Disney theme park love. For 2014, the mission is to create a theme park using elements only found within the four gates of Disney World which excludes the water parks and the resorts. The boys have only these slots to fill: 3 E-Ticket rides, 2 dark rides, 2 kiddie rides, 1 character, 1 eatery, 1 nighttime show, and 1 flex position, which could be anything from the above mentioned categories. We go through a couple of rounds of free agency and some other elements of fantasy football get thrown into the mix as we hash out details for our 2015 Fantasy Draft.
